Hologram stickers printing prevents counterfeiting

Counterfeit products are a problem that affect a wide range of industries. From fashion apparel and DVDs to pharmaceuticals and alcoholic beverages, fraudsters are cheating businesses out of vast sums of money on a regular basis. But as a business owner there are steps you can take to protect your products, such as hologram stickers printing and registering your trademarks.

Ensure your trademarks are registered

Registering your trademarks is one of the most important steps a business owner can take to protect their brand. Make sure to register in all of the countries your business operates, not just the one you are registered in. This includes both manufacturing and sales, and will guarantee fraudsters are not able to use your branding and trademarks on counterfeit items.

You’ll also want to look into registering your trademarks with the appropriate custom agencies. Again, this should be done in all the countries your business operates in. This will stop counterfeit items from being able to freely move around the world and enter other countries along with their, probably unwitting, buyers.

Make the most of tech

There is some amazing technology available that can help you to protect your products. For example, fashion manufacturers and retailers can use a thread that has unique optical properties. The thread can then be used to sew invisible patterns into fabrics, and this pattern is only visible under a polarised light.

If this technique is too expensive or not right for your business, you could also print a roll of stickers with logo onto hologram printing paper. Printing on holographic paper is one of the most cost effective methods to prevent counterfeiting, as holograms are extremely hard to replicate and evidence of tampering is immediately obvious.

Educate consumers!

Educate your customers to know when a product is counterfeit. You may want to include a short paper pamphlet that comes along with your genuine products, or you can offer information on your website to help them spot fakes. Once they learn to quickly spot a fake they can avoid purchasing a most likely poorly made product. Offer them advice such as if a price seems to good to be true, it probably is. You can also provide a list of reputable retailers that sell your product, or advise them not to purchase unless it is directly from your store.
